1. About the program

The Cashflow.do ("Cashflow") "Refer a Friend" program (the "Program") rewards customers who recommend Cashflow to other businesses. The customer who refers (the "Referrer") earns a credit toward their Cashflow invoices, and the referred business (the "Referred Company") gets a discount on its first paid month.

By sharing their link or sending invitations, the Referrer accepts these terms. The Program is part of the Service, so Cashflow's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply. Where those documents conflict with these terms, these terms govern the Program.

The Program is separate from the partner and accounting-firm program, which has its own Partner Terms.

2. Who can participate

  • Any company with a Cashflow account can be a Referrer. Each company has a single referral link and code, found under Settings → Refer a Friend.
  • To send invitations by email from Cashflow, the company must have made at least one confirmed subscription payment. Sharing the link or inviting through WhatsApp does not require that payment.
  • Internal, test, quality-assurance and disposable-email accounts, and accounts suspended from the Program, cannot participate.

3. How to refer

  • The Referrer can share their link (cashflow.do/?ref=CODE or cashflow.do/r/CODE) or send invitations by email or WhatsApp from Cashflow.
  • The Referred Company must sign up for Cashflow after opening the Referrer's link. The link is remembered in its browser for up to 90 days. If it opens links from several Referrers during that time, the last one opened before signing up counts. An earlier invitation does not reserve the invited person.
  • Each company can be referred only once, by a single Referrer.
  • If the Referred Company also arrives through a partner or accounting-firm link, the referral belongs to the partner and this Program does not apply.
  • To prevent abuse, Cashflow limits sending: up to 5 people per send, 20 invitations per day (up to 10 of them by email), and a minimum wait between email sends. People who already use Cashflow and the Referrer's own contacts cannot be invited.
  • The Referrer confirms that they know the people they invite and have their permission to share their email or phone number. Bulk or unsolicited messages (spam) are prohibited, as is posting the link on coupon sites, in paid ads that use the Cashflow brand, or anywhere that impersonates Cashflow.

4. What counts as a valid referral

A referral is valid when the Referred Company makes its first confirmed subscription payment (an actual charge for more than zero) and meets all of these conditions:

  • It is a new company to Cashflow: its tax ID (RNC) does not belong to another company that has ever paid for Cashflow, and its owner did not have a Cashflow account before creating it.
  • It is not a self-referral: it is not the same company and does not have the same owner as the Referrer, and it does not share an email address, corporate email domain, tax ID (RNC), network (IP address) or sign-up device or browser with the Referrer.
  • It does not share a network (IP address) or sign-up device or browser with another company already referred by the same Referrer.
  • Neither the Referred Company nor the Referrer is flagged as an internal, test or disposable account.

If any of these conditions is not met, the referral is rejected and earns the Referrer nothing. The Program screen shows it as "Does not meet the program terms."

5. Benefit for the Referred Company

  • The Referred Company gets 50% off its first paid month of subscription.
  • The discount is single-use, is applied automatically when it saves its first card, and comes off its first charge. It cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
  • It cannot be combined with other coupons, discounts or promotions. Companies managed by an accounting firm get the firm's benefit instead of this one. A company that already has another coupon applied does not get this discount.
  • If Cashflow later offers plans billed at other intervals (for example, yearly), the discount equals 50% of one month of that plan.

6. Benefit for the Referrer

  • For each valid referral, the Referrer earns a credit equal to 50% of the monthly price of the Referred Company's plan, before discounts, based on the plan it had at its first payment. Later plan changes by the Referred Company do not change the credit.
  • The credit is in US dollars (USD), the currency of Cashflow subscriptions.
  • It is a single credit per Referred Company: it does not repeat in later months, even if the Referred Company keeps paying.
  • There is no limit on referrals per year. Cashflow may review Referrers with an unusual volume of referrals (see section 9).
  • To receive the credit, the Referrer must have a Cashflow subscription to apply it to.

7. When the credit is released

  • The credit stays pending for 30 days after the Referred Company's first payment.
  • After 30 days it is released, as long as the Referred Company still has an active subscription. If it has a pending charge within its grace period at that time, the release waits until that is resolved.
  • The pending credit is voided, and the referral rejected, if during those 30 days the Referred Company's payment is fully refunded or disputed (chargeback), or the Referred Company cancels its subscription or the subscription expires.
  • Once released, the credit is not withdrawn because of anything the Referred Company does later, except in cases of fraud (section 9).
  • Only referrals validated while the Program is active for the Referrer's payment method earn credit. Cashflow does not grant credits retroactively.

8. Using the credit and expiration

  • Released credit is applied automatically to the Referrer's upcoming Cashflow subscription invoices, oldest credit first. If it exceeds an invoice, the remainder stays available for later invoices.
  • Each invoice may keep a minimum charge; the credit may not always cover 100% of an invoice.
  • The credit expires 12 months after it is released. Any amount not used by then is lost.
  • The credit cannot be exchanged for cash, is non-refundable, cannot be transferred to another company, and has no value outside Cashflow. If the Referrer cancels its subscription, unused credit is not refunded.
  • Cashflow emails the Referrer when a company signs up with their link, when they earn a credit, and when a credit is applied to an invoice.

9. Fraud and suspension

  • Cashflow may review Program activity at any time and reject referrals that do not meet these terms or that show signs of fraud, manipulation or abuse, even if the system did not detect them at the time of payment.
  • If Cashflow determines that a Referrer has abused the Program, it may suspend them. While suspended, their link stops working, their pending and available credits are voided, and their referrals whose credit has not yet been released are rejected. Credits already applied to invoices are not reversed. If the suspension is lifted, voided credits are not restored.
  • Suspending a Referrer does not take away the discount a Referred Company already received.
  • Cashflow may also take any action allowed by its Terms of Service.

10. Personal data

  • To run the Program, Cashflow stores each invited person's name (optional), email or phone number and personal message, the channel used, the date of each stage, and the company they became.
  • Under Settings → Refer a Friend, the Referrer can see who they invited, the name of the company each referral became, the referral's status, and their credits. They do not see the specific reason for a rejection or other details of the Referred Company.
  • To validate referrals and prevent fraud, Cashflow compares companies' sign-up data (tax ID, emails, network and browser). This data is handled under the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes and termination

  • Cashflow may modify, pause or end the Program, or change these terms, at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with their effective date.
  • Changes do not affect credits already released, which are honored until they expire. Pending referrals are governed by the terms in effect when they are validated.
  • These terms are governed by the same law and jurisdiction as Cashflow's Terms of Service.
