Employee Groups

Employee groups allow us to set shared settings for different types of employees. Currently, you can create 2 types of employees in Cashflow, regular employees and salespeople. With salespeople, you can design and track sales commissions.

Adding employee groups

To create an employee group,

Add an employee group
  1. In the main menu, go to Masters, then click on Masters Groups.
  2. In the Masters’ group list, click on the (+) Button.
  3. Choose Employee in the type field.
  4. Complete the general information section.
  5. Enable Salespeople if these employees are salespeople.

The Salespeople option allows you to set these employees as salespeople. When activating this option, Cashflow will display additional options to set if these employees earn sales and payment collection commissions.

Commissions Section

To set a commission structure for the employees in this group,

  1. Enable if the employee receives Sales CommissionsCollections Commissions or both.
  2. Set the Commission Type.
  3. Set the Calculated By method.
  4. If the commission type is Fixed, complete the fields FromToCommission % and enable if these salespeople can yield commissions.
  5. If the commission type is Tiered, complete the FromTo and Commission % for every tier level.
  6. To add more tier levels, click on the (+) Add button and repeat step 5.

[4] Fixed Commission Type allows you to define a fixed percentage of commission to a sales volume range. You can combine base salary + sales commissions for the sale volume or calculate commissions only after a base sales volume has been reached.

[5] Tiered Commission Type allows you to define commissions based on sales goals. You can add new tier levels by clicking on the (+) Button. This allows you to motivate salespeople to continue closing deals, even after they’ve reach their primary goals.

[3] Calculated By

In the Total Sales Volume option, commissions are calculated based on total sales volume for a period.

In the Per Transactions option, commissions will be calculated on a per-transaction basis.

[4] Yield Commissions allows you to set if the salesperson could yield part of his commission in order to make a sale.

When done, click on Save.
